I am interested to know how many of us go for a session during the day. I am sure squid eat at all hours, but not sure as to where they hold up in daylight. My efforts have mainly been in daylight, so far always 1-2 arrow, no tigers pr trip. Nt

Hi mate i cant say for sure as i fish for sthrn calamari but i have been very succesful squiding during daylight hours as many other people are in fact most are cought during daylight hours from guys fishing in boats between 1 and 10Metres of water they just hold up on the bottom in the weed and thats all there is to it.if your land based just cast over the weed patches and light jig or roll over the top of the weed.the boaters sometimes use a paternoster type jig set up to fish the deep patches..ive cought quite a few just walking up and down the lorne pier during the day..about a month ago i witnessed a guy catch a 3or more kilo cuttlefish on a baited jig in about 50cm of water so you never know where they might be.
