Second round of the comp is coming up. Not 100% sure of the location yet but likely to be southside as northside is not fishing well yet.

Meet up time 7pm if you are any later than 7.30pm you wont be able to compete

All member's are welcome.

Location: Victoria point.
Meet time: 7 pm to 7.30 pm
Meeting location: Carpark off Raby Bay Boulavard see attached photo.
Competition Start time:8 pm
Competition Finish time: 12pm
Cost:$15 Please bring the correct money.There will be no change.
OR you can bring $ 75 and this will get you into for the rest of the rounds for the year. That's a saving of $30!

I will be there for sure. Last round was a crash course allright. This time watch out.

What rod combo did you get Niels?
You know it's golden week in Japan if they haven't sent it yet probably won't get till after 10th.

I can't make time but will be there for a chat afterwards

They send the rod this morning, if you can believe it, an ags 91ml. Really like the unsanded blank. Ended up with a Certate 2506H instead of Luvias ( they sold out )
Bought a couple of different egi lines, boy they are fine dia. Will be able to whump a 3.0 to Timbuktu.. Hey how did I get roped in to posting on wrong topic page, sorry. Hope to see all at next comp,it really was a hoot. Niels

I recon the certate will be awesome on that rod. On edi's 83 ags the luvias balances it perfectly so in ur's it would be too light. Is it the old or new certate?

Crikey, hope its a new one, hehe, yes I saw it was a 2013 model, fair point though as I would`nt know one year from the next, in fishing reels that is. Think I got a better chance with red wine. Hey, almost bought this amazing lure as well, they had me convinced it would catch any squid around as it was a full 3 degrees warmer than surrounding water, only when they got to the extra feature that it also had a battery operated voice that called them in, in squiddish, did I smell a rat. Ca`nt trust anybody these days. Niels

thats a nice setup mate you will love it, in hand its very balanced.

Lol those battery operated ones are probably poorly made so after a few hits from pikes, rocks or squid it will rip or break apart.

I would stick with the known brands and work on your technique

I'll be there, hopefully to do better than last session's zero score.

Has a location been decided on as yet? I am a 50/50 at this point in time.

90% sure it will be manly. We will check the weather and confirm Wednesday.

Guys comp is going to be at Victoria point this time due to the winds lately. Meet up point will be at the Cleaveland boat ramp. Ill put up a photo tonight.

Don't know but it will be much more sheltered in Raby Bay around the canels from the winds.

is the cleveland boat ramp where the social round was?

High tide at Cleveland Point is 10.12pm Friday - right in the middle of fishing time.

Went to Raby Bay last night and got a few... not telling exactly where tho!

Also went to Manly and it was really bad there

so we are going to be partners then Robbie!!!!


keen as hell now, I'm picking up the interline on my way over!!!

oh and it looks like my son is gonna join me for the night!!!
