Majorcraft Sky-Road 802el
So i bought this rod as a temp rod till july..I got some nice squid on it the other night and find it a fantastic rod good action and loads nicely when casting the fujiK/R concept guides are great and would highly recomend them for anyone thinking of a new rod i know i wont buy another rod without them at least till something better comes along. Also the double lock nut reel seat system is great..
Now ive got a problem in that ill have to find a better rod to replace my temp rod which aint gonna be easy....If any one knows of a very good egi rod that loads up good with K/R guides let me know..

Andy is probably the man for that. All i use is interlines.I like the Emmas with the K guides.Could be an option.Or the Shimano Sephia JP model. But that just me.

Re: Majorcraft Sky-Road 802el
I just sold my ema st86m as i didnt like it.Its a bit on the solid side for me and i found the K guides format wasnt right and had a lot of tangles useing it thats why i went for R guides which made a huge improvement no line issues at all.I was a bit sceptical at first but i thought id give it a go as i was sick of wasting expensive braid and now im converted to K/R's..The set up on the skyroad has the three reducer guides and then the rest are the same size micro guides which is how it should be i think and the ema's have all different sizes all the way along the blank..I might just keep the sky road yet and maybe just buy another one in the medium..Ill try to find something with titanium K/R concept guides i think..

Hi Nige
Did you buy that new rod locally or overseas?
If overseas can you pm me the details of where and how much? If you don't mind
Thanks

Re: Majorcraft Sky-Road 802el
Thanks Andy but im saying K/R guides which is a longer version of the K guides holds line further away from the blank to reduce line slap and the line doubleing around and noosing the guides...as far as budget is concerned breaden is out of the question....andy wrote:Breaden

Guys, I know Steve at the tackle shop is getting in over 60 majorcraft rods in the next few days as well as a couple of their egi rods. Ill post up details when he gets them in.
