Great find Andy,

they are exactly what I have been looking for. I'm a big fan of the "nude" style of egi but cant find them in bigger sizes, you get heaps more life out of them, the cloth covered egi's get chewed and start to frey and get ratty looking plus discolour from getting inked.
I use "nude" style range hunters and yozuri rs but they only go up to size 2.2, hopefully these new Daiwa's are made in the bigger sizes 2.5-3.5, they have some great colours in the range too.

Cheers,
Al

Bummer, I just read down the bottom of the page that they only come in 3.5, a bit big for our land based shallow water eging.

yeah they are still nice none the less. i have seen that shimano have a similar version, but not sure when they will be available pretty sure all sizes will be avail. also Al have you looked at the gan craf ones??? http://www.gancraft.com/uojya/3_5.html -- unfortunetly these come in 3.5 only as well. failing that you can still pick up some of the old old yozuri oitas - these are what i started on hahahah but they work.

Yeah Andy I have seen the gancraft they are very nice, but again only available in the bigger size, Jones's tackle have them in stock I was tempted to buy some but but I very rarely use 3.5's so gave them a miss.
The shimano's sound alright, do you have a link ?
I have 1 of the old yozuris, I think I won it in the first round last year, I haven't used it yet, nice jig though.

Fellas give it a couple of months.
It's not unusual for the tackle companies to start a new line of egi's at time of the year in the larger sizes & then increase the line into smaller sizes leading into Autumn.
At this time of the year (Spring) the Japanese are targeting larger squid & therefore smaller egi's are not promoted.
