Manly social Night

Post  Partizan Fk on Mon May 21, 2012 4:38 pm

Hi guys sorry about the late report.
Firstly id like to say thanks to all the member's both new and old who made the effort on making the Manly Social Night a success.Yes we had a minor mishap with young Rob taking a tumble but hey hes all good and ready for the next round on the Gold Coast.Id like to thank G and Chris for taking Rob to the hospital and giving up some of their night. Really guys a great effort.
As expected the night was excellent. Some great numbers in catches being caught as usual G and Paul did great. The greatest thing about the social event is seeing new members catch their first squid The Brothers Grim getting two decent specimens. And Liam cathing his first. What an effort and well done guys.
The water was really clear in some places and visibility was super. The winds were great and no complaints received. Some guys found catching bit difficult but hey that's what makes us come back and try for that big one.
As for the biggest catch there were some decent squid caught on the night around the 400g and up unfortunately Chris was unable to hand his squid in but roumor has it was a monstor Chris your sacrifice is greatly appreciated by club and memebers. There were great numbers of Arrows caught by Bald Hills Robbie I believe 7 or 8 in total.
The winner for the night was Ned with 2.2 Yamashita Range Hunter Naory CKCF Slow
The size being 23 cm's and 611 grams.Congratulations Ned
Id like to thank the minor Sponsors for donating the prizes.Shimano, Diawa, Yamashita, and lastly Gancraft.Without these guys we would have no gear to use so please help support them.

That’s a great picture of me Ned !!

A big thanks to Ned for partnering up with me and showing me all the likely squid places around Manly. Also to Chris and Grahame for putting up with the 20 questions from me before the comp while I picked their brains about squid fishing.

Had a great time and am looking forward to the Gold Coast round.

i'm glad that things worked out as good as could be expected.
as to being legends, we are decent "human" beings and i think that any one of us would have done the same.
thanks anyway
