Thanks, Andy, might skip the Major craft and look else where, or get another daiwa Very Happy turning into a fanboy...

Have a look at the Yamashita Naory Feeling Shaft rods, I had one and it was a top little rod, caught 100's of squid on it and took out the club champ in 2010 with it.

Cheers,

yeh Alan I considered the Naory's haven't seen one in action except on youtube, I read you sold it? did you find something better?

I also have tested the Calamaretti Bianco, super light, soft tip but body felt a bit stiff, maybe it was just me because my friend used the rod could really work it.

Anyway the reason I was interested in the daiwa was the megatip they been listing a features to some of their lighter egi rods.

Anyone have experience with megatop rods from other daiwa series?

No, didn't sell it cos I found something better, just got something different for a change and have since sold that too.
Will get around to building myself a custom soon if I can peel myself away from these snapper and tuna .

This blank is the same as my Emeraldas BC rod, this one is a bit longer as mine is the 7'3LB. Great rods mate, you will be very happy with it, and it should be very light in hand.
