What is the question, Rob? Northern calamari and tiger are two common names for the same species: Sepioteuthis lessoniana (excuse spelling). Another common name internationally is bigfin reef squid. I think I had a post a few years back about the different species and their names. I do know about these critters, having studied other squid species as a fisheries scientist.

No question just posting information on the speices. If you have any relevant scientific papers on tigers post them.
