rcs and breaden

hi, does anyone know if the breaden W power handles are compatible with rcs parts
eg. can I put say rcs power light s knobs on the breaden double handle ??

which is a shame as the Breadens are very nice but the knobs do spoil them a bit imo.

Hi Henry

I have owned a breaden W handle before (was for the older style daiwas) that one was not compatable with any RCS knobs due to the dia of the shaft they sit on. Not 100% sure of the new ones, but have been told they are not.

you could prob find some bearings with they same internal dia as the shaft and overall dia of the bearing to fit an RCS knob.. but that involves measuring and remeasuring and measuring some more just to be sure it fits, and then there is the issue of trying to source the bearings.

I wonder if any aftermarket knobs will fit then ?? has anyone tried yumeya ?
I love the look of the handle but if I was to get one I wouldnt mind changing the knobs...

yep i have tried the yumeya & RCS are same size (at least with the ones i own and have tried) they dont fit either.

if you havent already bought the breaden then have a look at a few of the other brands out there, but want to be able to use standard or RCS one have a look at these.

Livre (megatech) - I have one of these and they fit RCS(daiwa) & Yumeya knobs

ZPI - have a new carbon one. i havent seen these in person but going off the sites their knobs fit daiwas.

Bassart - love their full carbon one but very expensive and these ones are same as zpi.

Daiwa Emeraldas Colossal upgrade kit (spool and carbon handle) very nice and would match any daiwas but expensive, esp if you only want the handle.
