Just wondering, most of us have go to lures for when the bite gets tough and you just need to dodge a doughnut. Classics like the Ecogear sx40 or 2" Gulp shrimp come to mind, they're almost a guarantee you'll catch something even if it is small.

So what egi do you tie on for a boost of confidence when you really need to turn things around?

I have a beat up old yo-zuri 2.5 that is the gun egi in the bag...
Bought it at hervey bay last easter,it has many Ika to it's name.
The outer fabric is half destroyed from being dragged over rocks, banged against pylons, one of the eyes are missing but it is still a producer!!

It is natural/slight green in color, will dig up a photo..
Andy laughs every time I bring it out,but it is the king in my egi bag Cool

i dont actually have a go to egi, but in snaggy areas i deff go for a jackall egi in pink or olive (olive one outta commision until the spikes are glued back on) and i think its a 3.0 size. both have the material ripped up and look awful but deff work.

I only have 3 yo zuri 2.0 shrimp hunters in my collection atm green, Blue and pink. The pink one is my go to but for some reason when ever i take my friends along with me, the one using the blue one outfishes the others

Summer time my first goto is a Breaden 3.0 shallow and 2.5 shallow. Then follow by Yozuri Aurie Q Ace. The latest RS looks awesome.

My first goto is always a bright pink 1.8 yozuri. The 1.8's are perfect for the areas I fish as they have a slow sink rate, most of the squid I catch are in less than 2ft of water and in very rocky snagy territory so anything bigger gets hooked up on the bottom pretty quick and you will often loose it, allot of the time they are right at your feet also, so there is no need for heavier jigs to get extra casting distance.

Cheers,
Alan
