Travel Rod
Guys,
Looking at buying a travel rod and all the Australian stocked ones I have seen suck.
Anyone know of a good model either here or overseas?
Needs to be 4-6 piece around 6-7 ft long, ML to M. I Want to catch everything from Black Bass, Snake head, Northern Pike, Sailfish, Squid and Trout on it!!
I realise its going to be too light for some of the bigger stuff and ill get smoked often but im ok with that. Im also ok with having to use a heavy rod every so often for finesse fishing but less so than the above.
Ideas Please
Robbie

hey robbie davo's tackle up the coast is having a sale on all rods upto 50% off you should give them a ring. I don't know if they stock anything in the 4-6pc range but if they do you could save a bit of money.

Those are actually the names of the rods Rob!
Unfortunately most of the travel ones are not out yet but I will be having a close look at them when they do.

Hi Robbie
Pfleuger make a 5 piece travel rod, but not sure if it's heavy enough for what you are chasing
I have also heard that Austackle sell a travel rod, maybe Steve from The Tackle Shop has them or has heard of them or can get one for you

Re: Travel Rod
Andrew,
They used to make a 5 piece travel rod called the wanderer. However I broke one of the sections and can't get a replacement it was a good rod with fuji sic guides and a nice blank but you cant get them anymore. Also it was a bit light for this trip. I think ill get a gen black when they release the rest of the travel series later in the year.
