Expressions of interest Round 2 Manly 14/5/11

First topic message reminder :

Hi guys,

This years 2nd round will be held at the Manly on Saturday May 14. Start time is at 6:00 pm, finish time at 10:00 pm.

Meet up point will be the same spot as last year, boundaries will also be the same.

Please post in this thread if you are interested in entering.

Hey Paul, check out the maps section from last year the boundaries are the same, basically they run around the perimeter of the peninsula from the Hornibrook bridge to the mouth of Newport waterways.
The greenzone runs from Scotts pt around to just before Woody pt jetty (used to be one of the best spots ).

according to seabreeze we might just sneak in this comp before the wind swings to the s/e and blows...fingers crossed kids.

I don't know Paul, unless the forecast changes I think we are going to miss out on the good weather by a day, It's looking like a move to Manly at this stage which is a shame cos the squid are just starting to turn it on up this way but if its blowing SE it is near pointless heading out up here.

Hi Ned,

Should be the same time but I'll get back to you to confirm. I just need to look into the tide times for Manly as the times I set were based around the Redcliffe tides, if we do change the time though it wont be by much, maybe 30 mins or so.

Yeah Mug, you may as well sit this one out.

im super busy at work atm....

Ive noticed people are still viewing the posts.They are out there i dint know maybe they dont have much to say or they are shy.Its mainly the guys who comp or go out that say somthing.Maybe we need some more social outings to keep people interested or some off season activities to keep them interested.These are my thoughts

Hello all hoping to make it work may have me late but its high on my bucket list be great to catch up with yous all

Paul and les I'm banning or I'm going to giving you two a -5000 handicap. Went down for a recon, saw a few but they were not interested at all. Tried at least 20 diff size n colour jigs. Must have been the ones you guys stung on your last session. Avoided the donut by hitting up new areas within the boundaries. Landed 3 and dropped 2. All 3 were high teens low - 20s and total weight of 1.2kg

Geeze, a fella has a couple of gd days and its like this, its hard t soar like an eagle when ur stuck with turkeys, plus i havn't been there in 2 days, and i kno i left the place with a good 20+ good sized squidlies, so its the mug... or G hes been suspiciously quiet as of late

they've gone off the chew over the last couple of days and I think I know why....Ned must have dropped some of those bloody chilli peanuts of his in the water and burnt thier taste buds off.
