First topic message reminder :
Hey Guys
We have discused having a daylight round before and i think August will be the month to do so. Tentative date is Sun 19th Aug.. Putting this one out early as some people have other commitments during the day. Location TBC. So far tides are look like its going to be high around 1300.
Please submit your eoi for this.
Cheers
Andy

hell yeah...nailed that one Al..Alan wrote:Cleveland is not an option.
I vote morning or night session at Redcliffe.
My reasons for wanting a morning or night session over an afternoon session are that on average the weather is more stable at these times and there is generally less people around on a Sunday morning as opposed to Sunday afternoon.
Cheers,
Al
afternoons would be the worse time for shore based fishing...around the Islands isn't too bad but we're not going there.
do we now have a time and location locked in for this round...?????

Re: Round 5
Alan and I have been discussing this. What we have come up with is:
Comp Sat 27th 1800-2300. tides are higher during the night. We could have it on the sun morning but that would mean an early start or 7am. Sun night is out because a lot of us work monday morning.
Whats everyone think about that???

Re: Round 5
Hey Mug,
We've decided to have it on Saturday 27th, it will be a night session as that Andy fella isn't keen on getting out of bed early in the morning . Location will be Redcliffe peninsula and maybe Shorncliffe area as well. The session will go from 6pm - 11pm. High tide is around 8:30 pm .
Cheers,
Al

Re: Round 5
Guys,
I'd love to be there, but I don't finish work until 17:00. I wouldn't get up there until after 18:30.
Would I still be welcome to compete, if I turned up late, say around 18:45?
Cheers Chris

Re: Round 5
G'day die-hards,
No plan B? That's a bummer!
Unless the forecasts are wrong, not only is it going to be raining 'cats & dogs', it's also going to be blowing a gale from the North!
With the Southern areas being heavily affected from the strong Southerlies during the week and the Northern parts being blown out tonight, will it be worth fishing? I question that!
I've been a starter in most of the competitions, and would love to catch up with you all, but under the circumstances I think I'll give it a miss tonight.
I hope for you die-hards that the weather forecasts are wrong, it is a successful night & enjoyable to all!
Till next round......
Cheers Chris

Re: Round 5
....CHICKEN!!!!!
Woody point end should be OK to fish tonight with the wind at your back and as for the rain it can be very productive fishing at times so "harden the f#ck up"
had a look down manly last night and saw a few out wilsons and there was a couple of blokes over the other side before I got to it so I didn't bother going over for second dips...water was a bit cloudy but the squid were around.
see you ....the tough ones...tonight
