Round 5

Hey Guys

We have discused having a daylight round before and i think August will be the month to do so. Tentative date is Sun 19th Aug.. Putting this one out early as some people have other commitments during the day. Location TBC. So far tides are look like its going to be high around 1300.

Think back to round 5 last year guys.

It was held at Redcliffe at around this time last year, conditions were much the same with quite heavy rain at times and the squid turned it on for a few of us who fished the right spots, I personally caught 11-12 squid and my partner Matt did well also, G and Kyle fished the same area and got amongst them too.

So don't let the rain discourage you as the squid can turn it on sometimes in wet weather and tonight could be one of those times.

Oh and speaking of rain, don't forget your wet weather gear.

Yes,
I remember the night, Andy went home with a three piece rod! G with blisters on his feet and I with a donut!
But, if I remember rightly we didn't get this much rain & wind in the week leading up to the night.

Yes Baby Chris you are right that was the night of the 3 piece rod . I think we did have SE winds leading up to that night but no where near as strong, cant remember the rain situation but I think we did get some in the week leading up as I remember the ground was soaked so were my socks .

i went to woody point , redcliife jetty areas last night, and got nada, did get wet though

I'll be there tonight, but if last night was ANY indication, i dont think i will be catchin much
