エギ王Q LIVE
In April, I had a trip to Japan and bought some of Yamashita's New egi "エギ王Q LIVE" in various colours.
After hearing the hype & viewing the videos Yamashita has produced for the promo, I thought they would out fish my favourite jigs.
But, sadly they haven't......
I've used them in every outing I've had since getting them and they still haven't caught a single squid - Whilst, I've caught dozens using my fav. jigs on the same days.
The 3.5 size could be a factor, but I've shaved off 1/3 of the 20 gram weight to get a longer fall......
I don't know what to think?
Has anyone out there tried the エギ王Q LIVE jigs and done better?

Have'nt tried them yet Chris, was tempted to get some of the 3.0 size.
Perhaps the overall larger length may be a factor??Just throwing it out there...
What size egi do you usually favour?

Mick,
At this time of the season most of my eging is done in the shallows & I prefer shallow diving jigs in sizes 2.2-2.5. Later in the year, Aug/Sept. I'll target the larger squid which I have found like the deeper water & therefore use jig in sizes 3.0/3.5.
Ultimately, Yamashita will get around to making their エギ王Q LIVE jig in smaller sizes and I 'm sure that will be more suited to my eging.
If I get myself to the Manly competition I'll bring along the jigs in question and you can have a fish of them.
