They do look awesome Hon-su, but $35 each = ouch ! You wouldn't want to get to many snags.

sorry but I just cant get my head around paying $35 for a jig to catch squid on....or 300 bucks for a rod and another 250 for a reel...
my new stick I just made cost me a huge ......wait for it....
$4.50...and it works real sweet and it's nice and light and 2.7 metres long...I had all the gear and I just needed a bottle of filler to coat the guides and winch clamp.
I'd say I saved a pile of bucks.... Very Happy

If you are happy with your $4.50 build, that is cool mate.
If someone wants to buy$35 egi's,that too is cool by me.

To each their own I guess.

Wont even mention what some of my bass gear is worth

Same can be said with cars......why buy a BMW when a Hyundai can do the same job for alot less.....

Its all personal choices and there are always reasons why some products are more expensive than others.

Lol...cheap Bacon!!

I tried my Egi-Jya on the weekend. Got some squid with it but bit harder work than usual as I really have to a make a loooong cast as its a slow sinker. More suited to shallower water. I was using #3.5 and fishing 4m+ of water. Ended up using either the yozuri aurie RS 3.5 and Egilee Dartmax 3.0 There was also a slight cross wind. Ended up with 9 within an hour, averaging 15cm..ish tube size.

Still waiting for the hardbody Uo-Jya.

Hon-Su,
I would buy them for $35 if you can get a lighter, slow sinking version, 2.0 or 2.5 SS would be a treat! Let me know what appears on the shelves, they look fantastic, and I'm sure they would catch squid over here.
