fishing with the kids

took the Mrs and kids up to margate beach this arvo and picked up 16 summer whiting for our troubles.....BUGGER!!!...guess who has to fillet them....going to make that place a regular haunt I think....kids had a ball...and they ALL!! caught fish...and Lilly bagged a double header all by herself...top job.

Nice work mug.......Good to hear you had a great day out. I have heard the whiting are on the bite at Maroochydore as well. My mate caught 22 in a session with his son during the week, ranging from 32cm to 45cm. Good size fish.

Had a meeting on the southside on Thursday night, and went for a quick look at Viccy Point on the way home. Saw one small arrow and one nice size tiger swimming in the shallows, but had no gear with me to catch any......bugger.

We're off to seaforth at alex head this weekend to stock up on worms and do some beach fishing and whiting are on the target list as where we are staying is just across the road from the beach and there's a low tide at each end of the day so it's looking good.
if your not doing anything Dan come on up and we'll go kill something

went back to the beach sunday morning for another whiting bash armed with live mud worms....got there and set up at 2.00am...only 3 fish till daylight...minor bite period...then right on que they started chewing for the peak bite period and ended up with 24 nice whiting for my troubles.
