Expressions of interest Round 2 Manly 14/5/11

Hi guys,

This years 2nd round will be held at the Manly on Saturday May 14. Start time is at 6:00 pm, finish time at 10:00 pm.

Meet up point will be the same spot as last year, boundaries will also be the same.

Please post in this thread if you are interested in entering.

Yeh mate unfortunately due to some family issues i have to stay put for now, we'll have to catch up for a cast soon there are a few longtails getting about.

Hey Guys,

Just giving you all a heads up as there are will possibly be a location change for this round.

Eging at Redcliffe has been very poor so far this season (not a single squid caught that I know of) due to weather and dirty water. We have been discussing moving the location of this round to Manly as it is a more suitable location to fish in the current weather patterns we are experiencing and has been fishing consistently well over the last month or so.
We will give it until next Wednesday at the latest to make the final call as to where we will be holding round 2 (Redcliffe or Manly) so watch this space.

Hey guys,

Things are looking up for Redcliffe this Saturday, we finally have some Westerly winds coming through and squid are being caught, things may still change though so we will leave it till Wednesday to make the final call on location.

The start finish times have been changed to 6:00 pm start 10:00 pm finish. Please be at the meeting place around 20 mins before start time for the briefing and allocation of partners .

We have made a change to the size limit for arrow/pencil squid, the new size limit is 12 cm, we have made this change to help make things more competitive, the size limit for tigers and cuttlefish remains the same at 15 cm

We ask that everyone obeys the rules and keeps out of any green zones or out of bounds/no public access areas during the BEC competitions, anyone found fishing in these areas during competitions will be disqualified.

Please practice good etiquette and respect your fellow competitors in the competition eg.. If you come across someone who has found squid and is in the process of trying to catch it don't muscle in on there action and catch/try and catch the squid they have found, move along and find others to target.
