Daiwa AGS
Anyone picked one of these up yet?

Carbon guides.... "the complete guide set weighs 4.0g compared to a single Fuji sic K stripper guide is 5g"
I wonder if they will bring it out on a new ema rod one of their finesse rods weighs 70g total.

Re: Daiwa AGS
I had a feel of them a few weeks back Robbie. They are sensational! But way too bloody expensive for most of us. If I had the cash I'd have all 3 of the tournament models. Then they have one in the Axjing range which is a very cool rod to but not very functional for most of what I do, would be a nice flats topwater rod, again big $$$.

I dont know i dont think there is any benefit.I think they are going backwards K is the way to go.Light ok but Titanium Ks are light you would have to have a sensitive hand to notice the diifrence.Looks cool but thats about it.thats my 2cents.

Robbie they have brought out an emeraldas out with the new carbon guides but over seas. If you look at the Daiwa Japan website in the Eging section you should find them or there are these on plat.co.jp with AGS. They look very appealing but i really don't think there isn't a great deal of a difference. In my opinion I like the low rider guides over the k's or single foot guides, i'm still yet to convert to the interlines.

Re: Daiwa AGS
Haven't seen the aus models I the ags Ross but I've held some of the jdm versions. Very nice but very expensive. I cant justify The weight saving vs cost. Besides a well set up rod/reel will feel light on hand regardless of their individual weight
